Do I need a visa to enter Croatia?
Croatia is part of the European Union and European citizens do not require a visa.
Citizens of the following countries do not require a visa if staying for less than three months: USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan.
Passport validity entry requirements change per nationality. We generally recommend to have a passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.

Do I need to purchase travel insurance before travelling to Croatia?
Yes, all passengers travelling with Travel Talk must have travel insurance before participating in any of our tours. Your guide will collect your travel insurance details on the first day of your trip.

When is the best time to visit Croatia?
One of the popular sailing hotspots of Europe, Croatia is a perfect sea, sun & fun destination. The best time to visit Croatia is June to August, however May and September are also sunny with smaller crowds on the islands.
What is the internet access like in Croatia?
Complimentary wi-fi is available in many hotels, cafes and restaurants, however the quality of the connection may differ. You can also find internet cafes in the cities visited. Make sure to enable data roaming on your mobile if you wish to use 3G/4G. Please note that boats do not have wi-fi and 3G/4G connection may be unavailable while sailing.
Can I use my mobile while in Croatia?
If you come from another EU Country you may be able to use your phone without any additional roaming charges, please consult with your mobile provider.
Coverage is generally quite good in Croatia, however may be spotty on some small islands.
Make sure to enable global roaming before leaving home to be able to use your mobile in Croatia. 3G/4G is commonly available throughout the country, however may be unreliable on the sea.

The Croatian Kuna is the currency of Croatia.
A few examples of approximate prices:
- Cup of coffee/tea: 10-15 HKR (1-2 EUR)
- A simple restaurant meal: 60 - 80 HKR (8-10 EUR)
- Beer at a bar: 15-20 HKR
- Soft Ice Cream: 10 HKR
Can I drink tap water in Croatia?
1 litre of drinking water is provided daily by Travel Talk free of charge.
Tap water in Croatia is generally considered safe to drink, however may not be preferred. We recommend to drink filtered or bottled water for a short trip.
Are credit cards widely accepted in Croatia?
Credit cards are widely accepted in Croatia. However, small shops and vendors may not accept cards, we would recommend to carry cash with you for such small purchases.
What is ATM access like in Croatia?
ATMs are commonly available around Croatia except some remote islands. They can be easily found on the streets, hotel lobbies, banks, restaurants...
Are airport transfers included?
Airport transfer service isn't available in Croatia. The ports are easily accesible via public transport or taxi.
What time is boarding & where do we meet?
The welcome meeting will be held on the boat MS Carpe Diem at 1 pm.
For the Split to Dubrovnik tour, all passengers must have boarded the boat by 1 pm sharp. The boat must leave the port by 1 pm.
For the Dubrovnik to Split tour, the boat will remain in Dubrovnik port on the first night.

Can I book pre or post tour accommodation?
There is no pre or post tour accommodation available in Croatia.
Do you have solo travellers on your tours?
Solo travellers often join our tours to meet and travel with like-minded adventurers, forming longstanding friendships. We also strive to provide a relaxed and sociable tour experience to allow the group to weld throughout the journey.
Solo travellers will be roomed with another solo traveller of the same gender, or can upgrade to a solo room by paying the single supplement depending on availability.
I’m a solo passenger, do I need to pay single supplement?
There are always solo travelers on our tours. If you don’t mind being roomed with another single traveler of the same gender, you do not need to pay the supplement. Single supplement is for travelers who would like to stay in a single room for the duration of their tour. Single supplement option is not always available in Croatia.
Can I be roomed with my friends?

Our tours do not include airfare to/from the destination, and we do not advise on, ticket or sell flights. It is your responsibility to make it to the starting point of your tour on time.
Will my dietary requirements be catered for?
If you provide your dietary requirements at the time of booking, we will do our best to make the necessary arrangements where available. You can leave a comment under the "Notes" section when making an online booking or simply contact us. Please note that gluten-free & vegan options can be limited.
What currency should I bring?
The Croatian Kuna is the currency of Croatia. Avoid changing the bulk of your money at the airport as the exchange rates are usually more favorable in the city. Your tour leader will be pleased to help you if you need any assistance.
Is there any luggage restriction?
There are no luggage restrictions on our tours, but since there is limited space in the cabins, please consider the size of your luggage for your own convenience.
Tips are a common reward for service staff in Croatia, make sure to check if the tip is included in your bill at restaurants. Your tour guide and crew will also be especially appreciative and honored with this kind of traditional gratitude at the end of your tour.
What if I join the tour late?
If you are joining the Split to Dubrovnik tour, the boat leaves the port at 1pm sharp. If you are arriving later, please contact us, you can catch the boat at the next stop. While we will do our best to assit you, please note that it will be your responsibility to make the necessary arrangements to catch the group.
If you are on the Dubrovnik to Split tour, you can join on the first day of the tour at any time while the boat stays in the port during the night.
Can we bring our own drink & food?
Drinks & food from outside is not allowed but you can find them for reasonable rates onboard.
All cabins on our boats are ensuite with WC facilities in each room.
Are rooms air-conditioned?
Yes, all rooms are air-conditioned.
Are towels available in the cabins?
A towel for shower and 1 set of linens are provided.
Is there an extra fee for a private cabin for 2?
No extra fee as long as there is availability! Just send your request to our team when you book your tour.
