They made this trip to Morocco very valuable. Our guide Abdul was very knowledgeable, patient and gives the group the best tips to stay safe throughout the trip. Morocco is a magnificent country and worth the detour. The people are very gentle and welcoming and the landscapes are breathtaking. One of the best tours I’ve done so far. I will definitely take a tour again with Travel Talk tour. Thanks to Abdul and his great energy : “Yallah”

Comment on Essential Jordan by Anita Mills https://www.traveltalktours.com/tour/essential-jordan/comment-page-23/#comment-14504 Thu, 01 Aug 2024 08:38:01 +0000 http://traveltalk.wpengine.com/essential-jordan/#comment-14504 We have just returned from Jordan on the ‘Essential Jordan Tour’ & had an amazing time.
Jordan desperately needs tourism, it is suffering terribly from the current situation across the border. We felt completely safe & at no time regretted our decision to go there.
Our guide Faizal was amazing. He had an extensive knowledge of Jordanian history & was keen to share it with us, along with his passion for his Country, we left enriched. He also assisted by checking on our comfort with the quality of our accommodation & ensured we had enough food, water etc. If you are allocated Faisal as your guide, you are very fortunate.
Upon arrival at Queen Alia Airport, passport control took forever, meaning the Travel Talk driver, thought we weren’t on the flight, so had left. No problem, I simply rang the emergency number & he returned within half an hour.
We had a further issue with the itinerary, which Travel Talk dealt with swiftly & without question.
There will always be problems that crop up, it’s the way they’re dealt with that makes the difference. I considered Travel Talk dealt efficiently & effectively, with our issues.
There are several changes that should be made to this itinerary; the Camp in Wadi Rum is not Captains Cabin, as apparently this camp was letting customers down. Also, there are references to ‘Amphitheater’s’, which as Faizal pointed out, do not exist in Jordan, they are Theatre’s or Odean’s. This historical inaccuracy is annoying for travellers looking to learn from the experience & should be changed.
The hotel choices in Petra & Amman are good, offering a reasonable 4* level of accommodation. However, the camp in Wadi Rum, even being realistic to its location, would benefit from a deep clean, there were also no pillow or mattress protectors. In this respect, it needed to up its game, (due to this, I’ve only given accommodation 3* which is a little unfair to the lovely hotels). This didn’t spoil our enjoyment of Wadi Rum though, which was magical.
We were delighted with our Jordan tour & with Travel Talk, we would definitely consider them for future tours.

Simon S. and driver Chris (from North Macedonia) were a very good tandem. It was not perfect but highly recommended if you want a quick snapshot/highlights tour of the Balkans. Simon was a very knowledgeable and passionate guide. He is also very attentive to clients needs and embodies the qoute: “It is not work if you love what you are doing.” I will forever remember this trip as one of the best experiences in my life. Thank you Simon and Chris for making this happen. Both of them deserve a raise. Highly recommended from an experienced traveller point of view.

Comment on All About Balkans by Michael & Joyce L https://www.traveltalktours.com/tour/all-about-balkans-19/comment-page-2/#comment-14494 Tue, 23 Jul 2024 02:25:17 +0000 https://www.traveltalktours.com/?p=22901#comment-14494 We did the All About the Balkans in April/May 2024 and we enjoyed it immensely. There were 2 parts of the tour with an extension to Greece after the completion of the Balkans Tour. Dusan (Guide) and Slave (Driver) were the absolute best. Accommodating, respectful and knowledgeable in the countries we visited and nobody gets left behind!!
The driving in itself, despite some harrowing roads that rewards with awesome scenery and views was exceptional from Slave. No risky or agressive driving, always careful and calm.
The 2nd leg of our tour to Greece was a dissapointment though with the group missing a few of the key sites (Temple of Apollo at Deplhi, Mount Olympus) and Athens was a short introduction walk in the city. You ahave to arranged for all the key sites yourself which was fine as we extneded our stay in Athens to do this. Metheora made up for the Greece portion as that was spectacular.
The entire trip was without WIFI and Toilet facility on the bus which was also a little disappointing although that was covered with ample stops/break.
Having said that, we would tour with TravelTalk again as the overall experience was excellent.

p/s some hotels are only 4 Stars by name only. lol. We got by with the friendly and helpful staff though.

Our tour director Kostas was an outstanding top notch guide with so much knowledges and dedication to accommodating each one of us all ages and from all over the world. He knew all the hot spots and secrets place to take the amazing photos, and all the restaurants with great quality and reasonable prices.
We would highly recommend this tour if you want to see the island and all over Greece! From the ferries to the hotels and buses, it fits the budgets. Here is the details to each place we truly felt:
Athens: would recommend get there one or two days early to adjust the jet lags if you come from US. It’s so hot in June and very hard for me to visit acropolis the next day. Drink a lot of water the day before and sunscreens is a must to have on the first day.
Mykonos: Such a gem and cute place to visit, please keep a close distance with your tour director because the little Venice was built all the buildings are so close and the road are very narrow to confuse the pirates who tried to loot the town. There are good restaurant close by our hotel but you have to walk on the left side of narrow roads. The island had a very nice and easy bus system (cash only). Its very easy to get around the whole island.
Santorini: Our tour director Kostas knew all the good and secrets places to take the perfect pictures when you are in Oia. There is a hike my son did with a group of tour mates from fira to Oia about 6.5 miles or 10 km in 3 hours. You have to hike early to beat the heat but the sceneries are so beautiful and worth it! The island of Ios is so much fun, there are lot of water activities for all ages.
Meteora: You will hike about 300 plus stairs to see the monasteries, if the ladies does not have the proper clothing the gate entrance will provide a rob to cover at no charge. My teenage daughter thought the robs are hideous for their perfect pictures. You will also see the mountain Olympus in distance and the battle field where king leonides fought and died.
Delphi: You will have 3500 steps in 2 hours and 24 floors incline to visit the sanctuary of Apollo. The Greeks consider Delphi is the center of the earth.
The water is cheap in Greece, you have to hydrate everyday and sunblock is a saver. All the restaurants we visited were very reasonable and good quality. They are pretty good at it to split the bill when you had group dinner. We never had problems on any of the ferries we took, they all had AC and good accommodations on board. You might encounter some nude beach in Mykonos, but thats their home and cultures. If you have children under 18 just notify the stuff when you booking the trip. They are pretty good at to put the family together. Overall the price we paid was worth every single penny. We would book anther tour with travel talk again in the near future!

This is a fairly new destination for Travel Talk Tours so, we were a little apprehensive. There were only two other individuals who had booked the same weeks but the tour still continued with just the four of us. The hotels provided on this tour are excellent as is the itinerary. Our guides were knowledgeable and passionate about their work. Of course, some guides were better than others but that is to be expected. The transportation provided was comfortable, clean and spacious for the four of us. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in Indonesia. Great work Travel Talk Tours – thank you.

We chose the 10 day Island hopping tour and got to connect with the most amazing people, beautiful locations and delicious food and drinks made even better by our tour leader Marios Iliadis. He always made sure to include everyone and make everybody feel comfortable during group meals, orientation walks and activities and even went the extra mile to check in with us on our free days to make sure we were okay and offer suggestions to make the most of our experience.
This trip was overall an amazing experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering coming and exploring Greece!
